After the original Tachigwinha made noise in the streets T1 would have short-changed his fans if he wouldn’t have dropped the remix.

The track which was the most anticipated remix in the industry was dropped yesterday instead of today probably because the fans couldn’t wait anymore.

The track featured Sharky and Jungle Kid and it’s still on a Mclyne beat. Vic Enlisted handled the mixing and mastering part to come up with what the streets say the best remix this year (what do you say?).

Sharky who’s currently riding high with his successful album came in with some dope exciting bars combined with clever wordplay. “Unogona kufunda pandiri ndakapfupika but they’re still looking up to me” was one of the first lines which made people go beserk on social media.

Jungle Kid was on steroids like always, throwing some dope wordplay. I think he’s the king of wordplay in the industry. Metaphors and similes are the only ones which exist in his vocabulary (lol)

There was no way T1 was going to be outclassed on his own song though. The king came in with his signature rhymes throughout his verse. I really can’t say more as I’ll be doing injustice to y’all.

Y’all just have to listen to the song if you haven’t. Tell us if it’s a hit or not. We really wanted to tell you who we feel axed the track but we are going to let you do the honours.

Stream and download Tachigwinha remix on the links below

From his last project titled Forgive My Honesty we really noticed that R Peels had no chill in spitting honest and provoking bars. If you follow him on Facebook then you will know what I’m talking about.

Apparently Peels’ latest delivery which titled Magara Hamundipihwe which was produced by Fun F at Big Shots is also one those tracks which is filled with the honest truth.

Kana ukandisiya uchanditsvaga/ Ukatamba neni uchasara nematsaga is the message which you can grasp from the chorus.

Mwana waPharoah fires shots from all angles at his haters and those who take him for granted and those who snitch on him.

If you really want some punchlines to throw at your haters then this is the song to listen to, Fun F did a Good Ass Job ouchea.

R Peels showed that the fact that he is 21 doesn’t mean you can outsmart him, he actually has a brain of a forty one year old.

Please download or stream Magara Hamundipihwe and you will see what he meant by Magara Hamundipihwe.

Coming straight outta Retro Sound Entertainment is the young rapper and producer, YungADONiS who also use the pseudonym D.YungAdonis when producing.

The guy has recently dropped his single track tiled Creed which he produced himself. Creed actually came after two previous singles, Ngwerewere and Koka Kola, which were largely underground releases.

According to YungADONiS, the track itself was inspired by the movie, Creed, in which Michael B. Jordan played the lead role as Adonis Creed, a young man who had a job in the corporate finance industry but had a deep untapped passion for boxing.

The boy likens himself to the character played by Jordan, as he says he professionally supposed to be a pilot, but has chosen to follow his passion of being a major a player in the music industry both as a rapper and a producer.

“Adonis Creed and I have similarities. He quit a job to pursue a passion, much like I swapped Aviation for singles, mixtapes and albums, and that is something that has led to me getting a lot of stick from my family and peers. The track is just me expressing myself in my own way without fear of public opinion. This year I have released two singles so far and you will notice that there are no featured artists, and this is largely down to the fact that I want to fully express myself in my own way with no help from any artist.” Said YungADONiS.

Looking back in time trying to stretch my mind and think about all the music I’ve received this year, I have come to a conclusion that Batsirai Henry Masekesa whose pseudonym is H3nry has so far the best EP that I have listened to (confirmed by a team of 3).

Cover Art
The younging who is currently based in South Africa recently dropped his EP titled W.T.F which comprises of 5 tracks.

The first track which is the intro is titled Welcome. It is a 1m 28sec rap track throughout where H3nry will be spitting bars from his social life accompanied by tight rhyming bars that would leave anyone in awe. I don’t talk it I walk it/ That’s why I dropped outta college…/

H3nry
Cheat COd3 is the second track on the EP and it featured The Don. H3nry jumps in with dope verses as they ask the cheat code of life. You should listen to this one.

Elevated and You want it is the 4th and 5th tracks on the EP respectively. The former which featured Swiska is a track where the youngings will be trying to make it in life with some soft touchy bars being dropped by the boy H3nry. “Money keep you in a prison so these bars are here to save the mission” is my best line in the elevated song. You want it which is one of the favourites on the EP has well written and mastered verses which shows H3nry’s artistry.

The last track on the EP is titled Sally and it featured Yoza Mnyanda. The touchy track tells a story of trauma, broken hearts and sexual assaults. It’s a deep conscious rap song which one would play at any time.

Follow H3nry on Twitter @H33nryy and on Instagram @h33nryy for his music updates.

A young Dexter Baysiq swagged up in all black walking in the woods and looking like Zoro is the first scene you would see on a brand new video the the young Chi-Town boy.

The brand new video by Dexter titled "Maprat" was directed by Aaron Mheta and is in both colour and black and white depending on the scene.

In the song, Dexter tells his haters that he knows what they will be up to and especially when they do too much of talking without action.

"Tokuzivai, tokuzivai, mukuwanza maprat" is what you can grasp from the trappy chorus.

The lighting, location and all the swagg shows that Dexter is really taking notes from his bro Brythreesixty in coming out with dope visuals.

One can really note that the concept of the video compliments the song all in all. In one verse he spits, "Mapanga mapanga awanda, Hosiah Chipanga" and mdara Chipanga pops up in the video doing his signature dance.

This is a really dope video which you will need to watch over and over again.

With hustling being one of the components of Hip Hop, ManyOnz blessed us with a dope trap song titled Kutsvaga Mari and it featured Jae Myk and Simba Tagz.

The track was produced by West Pound and Simba Tagz is a tale of how the boys work hard and never sleep in their quest to hustle for money and fend for themselves and their families.

The visuals for Kutsvaga Mari are certainly one of the doppest this year. The video shows the guys with some beautiful ladies in some mining location on top of them bulldozers as they show us that they can hustle in any way possible to bring home that paper.

Please watch the video below and tell us what you think.

Don’t forget to share with your friends, this is a dope video for real.

One thing that I have noticed or learned is that some of the Zim Hip Hop rappers have their own level of intelligence.

Like, someone will only use one line to tell at three or four topics using wordplay, similes and metaphors and this is something you will hardly find in Zim Dancehall.

So upon receiving an email from Biznez I was actually under pressure and had to listen to his track a day after he sent the track.

The first thing that caught my attention when I first played the song was the beat by Fun F. The Hip Hop beat was fused with a mbira feel to come with a mesmerising, dope beat which will leave one nodding their head throughout the joint.

Ndovharisa is filled with some dope bars which are characterised by the best wordplay that I’ve heard this year.

This song actually feels like a battle of wordplay as both rappers came in real hard with their creativity.

Honestly I was not expecting it from Biznez, not that I’m undermining him but I just did not expect him to be that creative.

Biznez came in with the first verse and some of his bars goes like, “Maface angu anoda maraapers akasimba/ Coz ane mabars (bus) akawanda kupfura Tenda/ Semukadzi ane nhumbu ndicharamba ndichi spitter/ Kusvipira pamic kusvika nda deliver”

Like always Ti Gonzi did not disappoint in the second verse as he rhymed from the onset of his verse till he finished with some dope siles and wordplay.

From Chimurenga, I think Biznez is really taking his music seriously and I urge you to just pay your ears for once and listen to this joint.

So  word on the street has it that the South African record producer, rapper and singer who was the most sought-after guy last year, Anatii, might be coming to Zimbabwe in a few week to come, THE ZIM-TAINMENT has learned.

Anatii

The multi-talented South African dropped the news on Channel O’s Hip Hop show, Turn Up last night on his interview with Scoop.

Anatii said that he was going to continue with his Artiifact Tour performing in the sub-Saharan countries including Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique.

The guy did not speak of any dates on when he will be jetting into the country but he certainly was sure that he will spread his tour to the above mentioned countries.

We certainly hope he will be here sooner or later and probably school some of our cats on how to make hits.

So fresh outta dropping one hell of a hit track which he featured the Dancehall kid Tocky Vibes, 8L has once again blessed us with what is promising to be a chart topping track just like some of his tracks.

The Gangster boss recently dropped a new joint titled Idya Banana which he says was inspired by the old school sungura track by Joseph Garakara which was also titled Idya Banana.

Idya Banana comes at a time where the Gangster boss is still enjoying the fruits of his previous joint which saw him signing an endorsement deal with Black Opal Zimbabwe.

The track will certainly make you put on your dancing shoes as the groovy Afro-Pop kinda beat will leave you in awe.

Idya Banana is actually a track for the ladies in which 8L will be tuning bae how he wants to spent time with her.

In the latter stages of the track 8L makes us reminisce some of the popular childhood song/game in which we sang, “ka juice kana ka soda”.

This is a really dope song which you should put on your playlist and vibe to.

With the awards season fast approaching so much is about to happen to in the Zim Hip Hop industry and no doubt we are going to witness beefs and people’s egos getting high as they push their works in the quest of taking the accolades.

Yesterday the Zim Hip Hop Awards made it official as they announced the dates of submission of works by artists who want to contest in the awards with two new categories added (Best Hip Hop Verse and Best Hip Hop Hustle).

As Social Media is already buzzing with the awards, the video of the year award is one of the hot topics on people’s Timelines as a few videos are already being given awards without the owners submitting their forms (lol).

One of the videos which is a favourite of many, and is likely to take home the accolade as it has all the necessary requirements needed by the Zim Hip Hop Awards is Shisha Pipe by Karizma. Shisha Pipe is a tongue-in-cheek, playful song about how a regular day turned into an unforgettable story.

The song emphasises how not all girls are looking for love, but rather a good time instead. Karizma worked on the song with producer Yung Nash who is a rising star in his own right in the regional Hip Hop Arena and Yagi Dojo who has worked with platinum selling global stars like Delta Goodren and Iggy Azalea. This is a laid back song you can bop to, laced with a sinister, foreboding edge that reminds you that, amidst the fun, Karizma is not playing games at all.

The single has received rotation on Major and Independent radio stations in South Africa including Metro FM, YFM, UJ FM and Cliff Central. As well as that the single has been making waves in Pan African countries such as Malawi, Zambia, Kenya and Zimbabwe with an influx of requests on local radio stations across the SADC region.

The video which was directed by the South African award winning Duo Ofentse Mwase and Brian Makhabela made its debut on Zambezi Magic TV in early August and is currently sitting at number one on the top 10 Zimbabwe Music Videos Charts for the second week running. The Video is on high rotation on Planet Radio TV, Soweto TV, Channel O and Afro-Pop in Australia with a view to get it on more platforms across Africa and the world.

With all the rounds which Shisha Pipe has made across the continent, many people are tipping it to take the video of the year accolade at the Zim Hip Hop Awards this year despite competing with a few dope videos which have also created hype amongst the Zim Hip Hop fans.

One thing that I’m certain of among Zimbabweans is that if anyone mentions the phrase “15 Billion”, everyone will probably relate to what is being referred to.

Talking about the 15 Billion, we bumped into a track by Guti of District 9, Tatmyster of Roragahu and Arlington Taylor of Prideroc Music and the track is simply called “15 Billion”.

According to Guti, 15 Billion is a feel good song which trolls at the 15 Billion Dollar scandal which recently rocked the nation.

Isn’t it amazing or eccentric for a young person especially of this generation to be peculiar and standout in the midst of an industry where rap is all about spitting bars of things one doesn’t own or things they dream about?

Anyway, talking about reality and living your dreams and ambitions, you all need to know about Alpha Centauri’s recent track, ‘Fly or Die’.

‘Fly or Die’ comes at a time when Alpha is preparing to drop his new album called ‘I am Who We Are’.

According to Alpha, Fly or Die is about being young and ambitious and realising that you have to be willing to do whatever it takes to turn your life into the best it can possibly be. It’s about capturing and living in the moment and never looking back.

Fly or die fire fly lighting up the sky, don’t let tomorrow go it won’t come back for you and I’ is what you need to grasp from the chorus which might be motivational if you listen to it closely.

In one of his verses Alpha says, “Don’t listen to those voices tryna tell you what you not”, stressing out the point that one needs to listen to their inner self, believe in themselves and not wait for people or let people tell or decide things for them.

Fly or Die is a track you all need to listen to, it is really motivational, something which are looking for in Zim Hip Hop.

What's good fam? Hope you are all great. Well do you remember when we did a review of Brythreesixty's track titled HighScore? (Click the link below for the review)

Well the video is here and it's sizzling. It is probably one of best videos so far with Rain Media behind the cameras.

The official video of HighScore which was directed by Shem Zemura has defied some of the 'odds' as Brythreesixty showed that he's not only a gospel rapper as he is seen with some half naked beautiful girls in the video.

Most of the parts in the video was shot indoors and shows the muscular Brythreesixty kinging all the way throughout the video with them sexy ladies all over his body.

But wait! There is one question which people are asking and only Brythreesixty can answer. Considering the sexy half naked girls seen in this video, people are asking whether Brythreesixty is still "Gospel Hip Hop".

Bry needs to answer this one on his own. However, if you haven't watched the video yet, you can stream it below and please don't forget to share your views and comments on it.

From left: Gemini, Nasty C & Buffalo Souljah (Pic: Times Live)
Apparently magic has been made as two artists of opposing genres came with a splendid track that left everyone in awe.

Nasty C, a chart topping Hip Hop artist from South Africa combined his skills with the Dancehall African king, Buffalo Souljah from Zimbabwe.

The two did a song titled Belong which was produced by the talented Family Tree producer, Gemini Major.

You really wouldn't want to be told more on this track, you would rather listen it yourself as words can't really explain the dopeness of the track.

This song is promising to be a hit from the way it looks.

Sometimes when you listen to a younging rapping/singing about something which can uplift someone, you begin to wonder whether we have a bright future of young people who will contribute towards a better country.

Upon receiving the brand new track from the young Breezy CMG, I was actually sleeping on the track thinking it’s one of ‘those’ typical self- appraisal tracks.

I was totally proved wrong when I finally played the track and I released that I should not judge the book by its cover.

Breezy’s new track is titled Boys Ndauya (Why Is It)

The track addresses some of the social problems which are being faced by people, especially the youths around the country and it goes a mile ahead to disseminate a positive message which can change anyone’s life.

Below is what he had to say about the track.

Amid everything that has taken place in a country where raising your voice to be heard or to protest against other people’s incompetence was like swallowing your own puke, it seems as if the undermined genre of Zim Hip Hop is now realising and letting it’s voice being heard through some soft touching bars commenting on the status quo.

For a moment I thought this was another version of Tongogara when I first heard Gze’s latest track.

The track which is titled Love Song featured Sister Flame (you probably know her from way back) and was produced by Nickbwai.

Inspired by the love he has for his country, Gze saw it right to name his track, Love Song.

In Love Song, Gze will be addressing the current socio-economic and political issues which are being faced by everyone in the motherland Zimbabwe.

I guess this is some of the things which differentiate him and other artists in the industry. He surely did a Big Boy Business on this fire track.

His delivery blended in well with the beat and Flame made sure the song was a masterpiece with her sweet mellow voice on the chorus.

If you have been sleeping on this track please wake up (lol) for you are missing out on some of the doppest music which is addressing our voices in Zimbabwe.

Love Song is probably one of the best tracks that Gze has dropped this year.

For a moment when I saw the artwork for Dzikama I asked myself, ‘What kind of a track could this be?’, ‘Is it one of those typical Noble tracks which are marred by metaphors, similes and marvelous wordplay?’

Since my Internet was down I went straight to my WhatsApp to request the track from the plug (Mzaya).

Upon listening to the track I realised that N Jay, whom I had no idea where to get his music was a menace behind the mic.

I think that the track title speaks for itself on what the song is all about and Fun F proved why he is one of the best in the industry as he maintained the trend he has already set this year, that is of producing masterpieces.

Apparently Dzikama came at a time when everyone has been waiting for a top summer jam which would blow the speakers at any time.

Fun F did justice to the track as he mixed the Hip Hop beat with a pinch of some Afro-fusion to come up with a dance song that can literary make anyone go haywire in the club.

If you are really looking for a summer, party song, then Dzikama is your answer.

My team and I wanted to rate the song but thought that you would say we are biased, so you are going to do the honours and tell us what you think about the track.

While Stunner might be riding the crest of a wave in the Zim Hip Hop industry after the successful launch of his album, If I die tonight, many people have been asking his growing relationship with "former" Team Bhoo member Dj Towers.

The pair have been hanging out together lately amid the fact that Team Bhoo and Stunner had previously dissed each other on different occasions.

The ZIM-TAINMENT has learnt that the two are becoming BFFs as nowadays they are always seen together.
