A diversity of tracks in both the queen’s language and vernacular exhumes the artistic side of the boy AGE MCSOUL who released his album aptly titled FROM SECOND TIER late in June this year.

FROM SECOND TIER is a 12 track album and features tracks like Tate Tate, Gerara Here, Tsuro naGudo and Right Thing. We had the privilege to listen to all the songs in this album but we are not going to mention them all for your time’s sake since you can download it from the link below.

One of the songs we listened to is the above mentioned Gerara Here (Get out of here) where Age will be tuning all the lazy bone n*ggas who only wants to appear when there’s money and parties. The boy continues to tune them to go away so that he can be left alone and enjoy his fortunes.

Tsuro naGudo is track number 10 and the track title really caught our attention as were downloading the album. The track which has a Jusa Dementor beat from ABRA Tribe has random bars and punchlines of childhood reminiscences and featured FGT Ndocci who we think came in real hard with his verse which came second on the track.

Right Thing is the last track in the album and he takes us on a tale of his dreams and what he would do in his endeavors to stay afloat in his struggles. Age takes us back into time and tells us how money was equivalent to nothing in the year 2008. This track was produced by Pilots Bangerz.

Some of the tracks in the album which we didn’t talk about include: Ndoiripano feat McLyne, Hapana lose feat King weMoyo & Tweep, We Majitas feat Tweep, Usandisiye, Ndiwe Wandinoda, Nhumbu ndeyako, Hupenyu wemuGhetto feat Leah Mic and Munongosasa.

This project was made possible by McLyne Beatz, Abra Tribe, Ali (Ghetto Craft Ent), Cashem Beatz (Australia), Ziggy Zee, Cassper Beatz, GT Beatz and Pilots Bangerz (SA)

From his press release, Age did a 3 city tour in Zimbabwe before the official release of the album online. On 18 June 2016 in Bindura (KwaPiki), 24 June 2016 Gweru (Midlands Hotel) and 25 June 2016 in Masvingo (Charles Austin Theatre), sampling the album and giving free CD’s and dropped some at the radio stations so voting should be possible now.

Age is currently studying in Australia. Apparently we usually give a verdict on most the stuff we feature on this Blog but this time we are not going to do that because we want you to do the honours after you’ve downloaded and listened to it.

If we are to talk about quality and professionalism in the Zim Dancehall vicinity then we are to pin point a few individuals. From time to time our artists have been asked to take their work professionally and in the same way attend music workshops so that they can learn more things which matter in their professions. This however has falling into deaf ears as some of them tend to ignore as if they know what they are doing.

However, one of the few individuals who seem to be taking his career seriously in the Dancehall fraternity is the controversial boy Qounfuzed. Despite him not getting enough airplay on Dancehall sessions on radio, the boy has managed to make chart topping hits such as Kusvika Rinyure & Tichiri Tese here which spent more than a month on Power FM music chart shows and other radio stations.

Qounfuzed has spent more than two months now in Europe attending music workshops and working on his upcoming dual album with Noble Stylez aptly entitled Kufunga Kushanda. The Ndururani kid first went to Germany where he got to perform at a Dancehall gig in the Germany capital.

The Mwana hit maker who has been posting videos of himself playing the acoustic guitar on social media is surely putting in some work as a stepping stone in the uplifting of his career.  His followers on social media can confirm all this as he’s also seen looking fly for that rendezvous in the Brits.

We really can’t wait to see what the boy has in stored for us, we really want him to share with us what he learned and maybe his peers can learn from him and change for good.
Follow Qounfuzed on Instagram @QounfuzedZW and add him on Snapchat @QounfuzedZW and get to see what he will be up to in his everyday life.

Apparently the age of trap seems to be rapidly rising in the Zim Hip Hop fraternity with rap goons disseminating joints after joints leaving any, a blogger, fan, and Dj in the dabbing mood.

Still on the trap issue, the Katanga boy, P Mula has blessed us with a new joint called Mamero (informers) which he featured one of the industry heavyweights, the Harare gangsta, Boss Gze.

Produced by the currently high flying Vic Enlisted, Mamero is a joint where the homies will be tuning us that even if the informers backstab them, they will always keep their heads high and stay afloat.

Mula who calls himself Chibaba cheTrap fairly came hard with his verse as he proved why he is the Chibaba and on the contrary Gze didn’t disappoint as he was also spitting fire and continued to bless us with his street lingo which is usually unique to him.

Please download and listen to Mamero and you won’t be disappointed. This track shows that Zim Hip Hop is really improving and coming on board. We now wait for the videos fam, keep the fire burning.

Though Snapchat is still “unknown” in our vicinity just like Instagram and Twitter, it is one of the social media platforms which is rapidly rising as far as our research is concerned. Snapchat is where people will be showing off their daily lives through 10 second videos and pictures (Snaps) as well as chatting with each other. Just like any other social media platform, one has to add someone for them to watch their Snaps.

So as Zim Tainment we did a small survey on some of the popular Zimbabwean males who are on Snapchat and we want to share with you some of the reasons why you should add them on your Snapchat. The list which we are going to give you is not in any order but we just made it according to who we follow on Snapchat and their consistency on the platform. By the way, this is an opinion based article, if you feel we have left out someone who should be on the list you can kindly use the comment box to notify us.

The first person we’d recommend you to follow on Snapchat is the H-town boy and Tisu Ngoda Dzacho boss Tehn Diamond. The rapper’s lifestyle whom most of y’all would envy if you follow him starts off with a healthy fruit mixture and a workout exercise routine in the morning as he braces for his day. Unlike any other rappers who talk about their fake hustles, it is a different case with Tehn as he takes his followers on a ride showing off his hustle and grind to get that paper. We actually hate to tell you everything on the Diamond boy as you can follow him on Snapchat (iamtehn) and see for yourself.

We hope you remember the last time we did an article on David Zinyama (David Zinyama Inspires People via Snapchat), some of you might not know him but he’s one of the most followed Zimboz on social media. Yes, even Rihanna follows him too. The legendary graphic designer is not a flamboyant kid though he has managed to live a luxurious life through his works. Unlike all the “cool kids” who use social media to show off what their parents will be buying them, posting new kicks, cars and clothes, it is a completely different story with the humble David Zinyama who takes his time motivating people and taking his followers on board showing them how he does his excellent work. If you want to see more of the ‘King of Photoshop in Hip Hop’ you better add the guy on Snapchat (davidzinyama).

Stunner, Stunner, Stunner, can we talk about social media without mentioning ‘Mdara Dziva?’ Hell no. Apparently Stunner is one of the people who live a crazy lifestyle. With all his work scheduled up every time, the guy also lives a hilarious life if you didn’t know. If he was an actor then he’ll probably be a comedian for sure. Des takes us on a ride from his home to the studio and on the way trolling his fellow celebs like never before. You really need to witness this on your own fam, just add him on Snapchat (stunnerzim) and see what he’ll be up to everyday.

If you’ve heard the term ‘Ndururani’ then you probably have an idea of the next oan you need to add on Snapchat. Qounfuzed, whose real name is McDonald Sheldon is one of the male Zimboz you’d wanna add to your Snapchat. The chart topping and controversial Dancehall singer has another side which you didn’t know. He likes to motivate people, he’s funny and sometimes he spends his time sharing some of his favourite music and playing the acoustic guitar. The 23yr old who was in Germany and currently in England is also a photographer and if you want to see some of his amazing shots then you must add him also (qounfuzedzw)

We really wanted to give you many of these guys but some of them are not consistent on Snapchat, probably because of Internet connection. If you have your own please share with us so that we can also follow them. By the way the female list of who to add on Snapchat is coming real soon. This is going to be amazing, just watch this space and don’t forget to add the person who wrote this article (ninjareezy).

The pair announced that the track has the potential to change the game in their press release. Nguva Yangu is one of the tracks off their forthcoming album entitled Tisu Vaya Vaya.

It has been a while since we have been hit by a freestyle from our local rappers, or maybe we are not digging deep enough to find some.

Anyway, still on the freestyle issue, our email had something which we couldn't resist to open last night. To our surprise, we received one of the best freestyles for this year from one infamous rapper and producer Kevin Munetsi.

The title of the track is called Elixirs (fresh outta exams freestyle) and was produced by non other than Kevin himself. In his press release, the 24yr old artist said he majors in Neosoul and R'nB but he's also a rapper and a producer.

The rap freestyle has a few vernacular lines and with some warning shorts to his peers in the game. Kevin goes on to compare himself with the Slaughterhouse goon Joel Ortiz the most prolific author.

He also pimps his freestyle with some dope wordplay which would leave you wanting to hear more. I'm 'crooked' Ortiz Joel voice with the slaughter, the most prolific author.

Kevin stays afloat on his game as he exhumes #MySoundIsZimbo in some of his lines 'Nice on the vocals, got a crazy drive which says my motive is local' Y'all gotta listen to this track, who knows, maybe Kevin is the future.

Alas, Kevin hasn't uploaded the track online yet. We don't know how he thought gon get it lol. Anyway, Elixirs is a dope track for a freestyle, you gon be the first one to listen to it when we have it online.

So last time our brother Dodger brought us History In The Making by J Nova we didn't really got a chance to dig deep into the project.

Here's one of the joints taken from the deluxe album HITM titled Blue Hearts which featured MeyNiak and produced by the Big Shots big shot Fun_F.

This is a love joint where the rappers go deep down their heart crevices and explain that with each other's flaws and strengths they'll always stay afloat and keep moving.

When I cry, you cry, we all cry, that's teardrops/
From broken hearts, to blue skies, to grey clouds, then raindrops/ is all what you need grasp for as we can not spoil the party for you.

Please download and listen to this track and don't forget to share and give us feedback on what you think about the joint. Your feedback is important!

As we take a look in Ruwa's talented artists, M - Killer the Gorilla who's Ruwa's finest is set to drop a joint with the Magetsi hit maker and radio personality, Dj Smiley.

The track which Killer refused to disclose its title is set to drop in a couple of months time. Word reaching us say that the joint which is still work in progress has already been recorded and the team is now putting final touches on the project.

The much anticipated track came at a time when M - Killer had made a successful start in the rap game as a professional with his track which made its debut on Power FM radio station. The tracks which was titled Ghetto and featured J Enigma made a few rounds on Power FM and in the streets of his hometown mainly.

In a conversation with us, Killer said that this upcoming track is going to be big and better than the previous one as he has now matured musically. He further told us that the track is going to leave anyone in awe as his delivery and the beat are on point, not mentioning Dj Smiley's verse.

For us we just hope Killer will stick to his word and give the streets what they deserve. We've heard many people saying that they are dropping bombs only to find their tracks wack AF. The streets are now waiting for you M - Killer the Gorilla!

Apparently the much anticipated track which everyone had been ranting about on social media is finally out. The track which is a brainchild of Young Gamez Entertainment is the cover of We are the world which was originally done by the legendary Michael Jackson.

We are the world cover was produced by the young and producer if the moment, Quazor. The track features 11 artists and one of them is Jamaican. The artists on this track include: Tanacca | Scrip Mulla | Ti Gonzi | Celscius | Trae Young | Dobba Don | Nuchie (Jamaican)🇯🇲 | Starling | Jerry B | Cello Culture | Yusuf

This is what Dj Gus had to say in their press release, "Young Gamez Entertainment has managed to join different artists from different genre's for the 'We Are The World' Cover. The same logic that was done on the Original one by the Late Michael Jackson. This one is a special dedication to all Africans who passed away for our survival, who tried by all means to make it a better place for u and me. Hope you will Enjoy!"

Starling did a good job with the sonorous voice behind the chorus on a reggae conscious beat which Quazor did well on the execution. From our own judgement, the track was fairly done with everyone putting in their best performances.

Everyone came in really hard exhuming repping their genres as well. Another good thing about the track is the diversification. The track consists of artist artists from different genres as you will hear for yourselves. I think this is a well executed track. Make sure you find it asap whilst it's still 'hot'.

As we help Carl #BreakTheWorldRecord, the word reaching us is that over the next forty odd days Carl will be working out to get his body in good condition to attempt to the GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS on 17-23 August.

As a result he will be working out and dedicating each run to publicising charities that need your assistance and  he is encouraging all of you to do the same when you work out. Use your social media to Run For Someone.

According to Mr Feel Good Zimbabwe, he is running for different charities each and everyday until forty days are over with Zim Care (an online group of charities) giving him the charities to dedicate his workout for each and everyday. Carl has already worked out for WITH LOVE FOUNDATION and ALIVE, a project which deals with albinism awareness.

The main idea behind this initiative is about directing people to charities and they can decide which charities they would want to support and how they would want to support.

So please share this article with as many people as you can and remember to dedicate your workout/run to any charity and share on your social media.

Let's support the movement and help to Break The World Record. Feel Good Zimbabwe!!!

Talk about wordplay, riddles, rhymes, metaphors in a single joint, only a few few rappers can come up with that. One of the few that we've heard so far is the only guy who possesses a class one license when it comes to maneuvering his way using bars.

Chizzoe whom I knew from three joints of which two of them he was featuring and the other one is his own recently dropped a single titled Shinda Mugedhi. The joint was produced by Vic Enlisted of Enlisted international who has been doing well lately.

Shinda Mugedhi is a joint where Chizzoe was tuning his peers of his relevance in the game and that he does not rely or depend on anyone if he is to make a big breakthrough. The name Shinda Mugedhi came through as he uses some soccer metaphors and riddles and naming himself a lone striker who can score anytime without an assist.

Chizzoe goes on to send an intimidating word to his peers who inherit other people's beef and those who used to say that he's only an underground rapper. Vakunamira kumashure kwebeef yevamwe kunge ndove.

From our own judgement and opinion, the track is quite on point. The beat and Chizzoe's delivery was very well executed. I think it's high time someone drops an EP as he has shown what he is capable of.

I wanted to share with you some of the craziest bars from this joint but couldn't spoil the party for you as you can play or download the track on the link below. Enjoy the track, share and tell us what you think about it.

With the rate at which classy videos are being dropped in the Zim Hip Hop industry, surely the industry might be headed up to something big, a breakthrough maybe.

Just after the boy Karizma had teased us with the trailer of his video Shisha Pipe, all eyes were set to see what the full video would be like as the boy had left people biting their finger nails hastily waiting for promising classy video.

The wait was soon over as Karizma dropped the full official video for Shisha Pipe on Friday (24/06/2016). The classy video which is marred by the presence of gorgeous girls and shot in a beautiful setting is no doubt one of the best video in the industry this second quarter of year.

The classy video which was shot in the upper burbs where most of y'all will dream of living starts off with a bird's view of a big mansion in the burbs where a big part of the video was shot.

Gorgeous anonymous sexy girls (typical in Hip Hop videos) and some of Karizma's oans make cameo appearances in the video and are also seen drinking booze and blowing the Shisha Pipe whilst partying.

On the other side of the coin, Karizma is also seen with the girl whom he's rapping about in the video getting dirty (not what you thinking lol) and flirting throughout the whole video. The boy then gets laid in the latter stages of the video as he is seen being pulled out by the shirt by the girl all the way to the bedroom (maybe kitchen lol).

Without taking anything away from the video, I think Shisha Pipe is a scorcher, considering the quality (one of the best) and the setting of the video, it will surely leave you and many others in awe.

Hopefully, we gon see more of these from the boy and from his peers in the industry. All we can say at Zim Tainment is that please keep the fire burning Karizzy, this is the start of something big to come.

For the past years Zimbabwe has had a few individuals making names for themselves on the international scene for instance, the golden girl Kirsty Coventry whom y'all know what she has done. Alas, it has been the opposite when it comes to the entertainment sector someone is yet to make a breakthrough.

Anyway, things are about to change now as one of the most opinionated individuals in Zim, social media guru and comedian, Carl Joshua Ncube is about to attempt to break the Guinness world record for the most comedy shows in a week and of course give Zimbabwe a reason to be proud of.

From the 17th of August to the 23rd of
the same month, Mr Feel Good Zimbabwe attempts to storm into
the Guinness book of Records by
performing 35 shows inside a week in South Africa and Zimbabwe to break the current world record which currently sits at 30 shows.

Word reaching us is that Carl has already notified the bosses at Guinness about his mission and he has been given the go ahead to carry on with the mission. Thus, if he pulls it through, he will be holding the Guinness world record for most comedy shows in a week.

One of the requirements of this quest is that the gigs be in front of a paying crowd, thus his bank account is set to be fat soon. So Zimbabweans, Africans and citizens of the world wishing to rally behind Carl can follow the man on his social media or click on the hashtag #BreakTheWorldRecord and you will be fed with everything you need to know.

Just a reminder, guys let's rally behind Mr Feel Good Zimbabwe now as he is about to rep Zim on the international scene and not to give him props after he has done it. We at Zim Tainment will be behind you all the way. As they say, "United we stand, divided we fall."
