This year Baller is set to
operate a little more differently as he is out to prove his mettle as a solo
act with the release of this Tash Mwana Wamai produced potential banger titled
#Ndega.
Whispers of an album later
this year to be called #Gevha have reached our ears straight from management at
the stable that houses him i.e Dollaesign Music.
Thematically the song is two
pronged as it outlines the pains and lack of reward for hard work in the
game/life which has in turn inspired him to start traversing life’s journey
alone and undeterred rapping.
“January to February mazhets
ari mumortuary/ Hapana pazviri kusvika semunhu arova robbery” loosely translated
the street deals are dead, in a morgue and no matter how he how he tries his
attempts at success hit a dead end like robbers who never profit from illgotten
wealth.
It being a Baller song the
Gevhas (Street smart hustlers) get a mention in this instance clashing with
neighbours because of their lifestyle.
The flow is the signature
Baller Mandizha one which is very laid back and suitable for the smooth Tash
beat. Baller name drops and breaks down names for prominent figures to bring
his words to life with bars like: “Hardlife Zvirekwi life haina Nyasha Mushekwi”
and “Terera ta Admire kusvika TaDerera” to quote but a few.
Few rappers can pull this
off and Baller is one of them. The song is available for download on the
