Okay, it seems as if when Maskiri came back into the the Hip Hop scene he's been banging hits after hits. Recently he has released a new track called Africa which he did with the beautiful Keisha White.
What's so unique bout this track is that Maskiri worked with a regional artist, a huge step especially in the Hip Hop industry which is under a lotta criticism for not being original and is not vibrant as Dancehall is. What I like bout this song is that Maskiri was being himself, he didn't do it to please anybody, the reason why the track is dope.
Maskiri who is known for a creative wordplay came in with some tight Shona bars amid collaborating with someone who's not Zimbabwean. Also, Maskiri surprised us when he came in with some Swahili bars which left many Hip Hop fans asking for more. Maskiri begins his first verse like, "Ndini ndatanga kudyisa Keisha White madora..."
As for me, I give Maskiri an 8 out of 10 on this track. What's your take? How do you rate this track?
