When you think of the number of Zimbabweans who are raising the country's flag high on the international scene you will certainly realise that Zimbabwe has vast talented individuals across the globe.

Swayz alongside Rae Sremmurd
Yesterday as I was watching Snapchat stories I stumbled upon one Zimbabwean who is living in Ottawa, Canada.

Swayz is a 22 year old upcoming Zimbabwean artist who is based in Ottawa, Canada and has just released his first music video titled Believe Yourself.

Swayz whose real name is Cyril Gwaze was born and raised in Zimbabwe. At age 15 he began writing music and recorded his first song by 16. After picking up a buzz in high school, he decided to take music more seriously and released his first mixtape by age 17.

"The more I released music was the more I got noticed", added Swayz.

"I was interviewed on the country's largest radio station and was featured in The Herald newspaper, the country's go to newspaper", said Swayz.

"At age 19, I then moved to Ottawa, Canada to pursue my studies. I recorded my first song titled "Swavy" a few months after settling in which was then featured on Hot New Hip Hop as a heat seeker", he said.

"I then took a break from music to focus on college and in April 2015, I met and freestyled for Big Sean. He told me that he liked my flow and gave me his email address" Swayz said.

According to Swayz, this motivated him to get back to music but he still had to graduate first.

"Right after I graduated earlier this year, I wrote a song titled "Believe Yourself" and saved up money to record it at Audio Valleyin Ottawa, the same studio J Cole recorded part of his 2014 Forest Hills Drive Album", added Swayz.

Believe Yourself was released on the 21st of October 2016 along with his first music video and is getting nothing but positive reviews from the media in Canada.

For the mean time you can stream Swayz's latest video below and follow him on social media.

Inspired by American hip hop techniques in her writing, Mami Dred has just dropped a trap song which can leave anyone dabbing all the way to the 'bizzo'.

Mami Dred
Boy Dab is Mami's first release and was produced by Vexblazer (at Tom Donovan's studio) who has worked with atists like Geko on the project Hold On which received a whooping 2 million views on YouTube.

"Boy dab is a feel good that makes you want to dance and just have fun with your friends. It has a catchy chorus and a banging beat. The hook incorporates American hip-pop techniques which have been very influential in my writing, the verses lean towards grime a genre which I am still exploring", said Mami Dred
The song has two dope verses in which Mami was flexing her muscles on that trap tip, it is one of those one would want to keep listening to all day.

The beat was on point and complimented very well with the verses though I didn't quite feel the chorus.

Boy Dab is a must have track on your playlist, please stream it below and tell us what you think. Don't forget to share.

It's all good news in the Zim Hip Hop fraternity as one of the industry heavy weights Ti Gonzi was blessed with a baby boy.

Ti Gonzi who is overwhelmed with the news took to his social media and broke the news when he posted a pic of a cute baby boy.

Sha
"The baby's name is Sha which is short for Shamwari (friend), I pour blessings on him to be a star, thanks to his mom a star", said Ti Gonzi.

THE ZIM-TAINMENT would like to wish Ti Gonzi and his wife Esther Tendere more blessings in life. We certainly hope the young Gonzi will be spitting bars just like his father.

Multi-award winning singer Cynthia Mare has joined forces with multi-award winning dace choreographer John Cole to come up with what is expected to be a hilarious video for her recent track "Ngoro".

In the video Cynthia stares as Cynthie and John Cole as Tinashe as they play a love story which will probably leave everyone in awe.

From the trailer which was dropped today, it seems as if Dream State Pictures did justice to the quality of the video with bird's view scenes emerging from the onset of the video.
